Just now getting around to leaving my review. I was proactive before the weather got warm and had several companies come out and give me an estimate. This isn't a new rodeo for me so I knew what questions to ask and how to read the folks. I'm from St. Louis and I must say there are some umm how do I say this politely overpriced HVAC companies in Panama City. Don't presume because I'm a women I have no clue on respectable quotes. I gave up on the quotes and decided to contact the air conditioning company that came out when I had a home warranty. I was confused because when they answered they said a different company name than what I called. I thought, Nope not today, will I be scammed so I hung up and called back. The same person answered. I explained my issue and got on the schedule for an appointment, still a bit leery.They sent a guy out, Duo, was his name. He looked at everything and gave me what I will call a fair quote, not the worst but still not the best quote I think for the job. Duo was warm, friendly, and professional. Àlthough I wasnt won over by the price I felt no shadiness with him. Once I made my decision I called the company, knowing I had one other company I wanted to get a quote from, which was Advantage.I did not realize it was considered after hours when I called so I left a message. A man called me back within 15 minutes and answered all of my many questions. He was extremely patient and polite with me. As we kept talking, I told him about the my confusion because I called one company yet when they answer the phone they said a different company which was Advantage. He laugh and explain he owned the other company and joined forces with Advantage.He gave me a GREAT price for a top brand unit. We lined up my install knowing I would not be in town. Duo and a coworker came and did the install. They did an excellent job, in and out on the same day. I have a wall unit dehumidifier and they worked its drainage to be effective with my new unit. On top of that, they sent me a thank you card for doing business with them!In summary, great price, excellent unit, professional employee makes Advantage the best in Panama City.

Logan came out and did a great job fixing the supply valve to our icemaker. It required removing some drywall and fixing a copper water line in the wall. He knew exactly what to do and cleaned up after himself. He explained how he was going to fix it and gave us the estimate in advance so there was no surprises.

Jim, from the Ft. Walton Beach office, came to diagnose and repair our 5 yr old unit that could not keep up with 95+ degree days. He bumped up the refrigerant and added Stop Leak. Awesome experience with Advantage HPE. I submitted an inquiry online on Tuesday, was called a few hours later. The next day Dios was out to give an estimate for ductwork. I called Advantage after another large company in the area did a subpar job on my AC units' maintenance (had a maintenance contract with them). Maybe a coincidence, but the day after maintenance one system blower went out and 2 days later, one of the other system blowers went out. Matt came in from Advantage and fixed everything that had been done wrong or not done at all (cleaning) during "maintenance." He was on time, very polite and friendly, very knowledgeable and I did not feel like he was pushing me to buy other things (like the other company). Advantage's pricing was better as well. Even better, Advantage is locally owned by veterans! That's a win all day for me!

My A/C was unable to keep up with the heat through out the day. It still cooled, but just couldn’t keep up. Faith with Advantage HPE arrived the very next morning. Professional and equally knowledgeable of the unit and all of its systems. Faith was thorough with her diagnosis and found a dead capacitor. We had to have a kitchen faucet replaced. I reached out to Advantage based on positive comments posted to a FB group I belong to. I was able to schedule my appt online … very easy. The plumber showed up on time. Turns out, he’d worked at our house once before (he worked for a different company then), but HE remembered US. My husband is so appreciative of this gentleman (apologies as his name escapes me) because when he was at the house the first time, there was an issue near the water meter. He was there from the water company and determined that the prob was not the responsibility of the water company BUT he stayed to help my husband get it fixed. At that point in the day, he was no longer on the clock. And he would not let my husband pay him. Advantage HEP is fortunate to have him as an employee. Thanks for sending him to help us!

Our A/C went out on the hottest day of the year. I called Rhonda and she promised someone would be out today. Was surprised when Andrew, the very talented tech, showed up within an hour because there were many work orders in process. He quickly determined the capacitor shorted out (gecko fried) and replaced it. He also checked the system out for freon leaks and other stuff. He went above and beyond cleaning out the clogged condensation drain line. I highly recommend Advantage HPE / Air Conditioning Engineers.

I was not impressed with this company. The tech came to diagnose my AC problem and didn’t have the part on hand so he told me specifically he would return first thing the following morning. I didn’t hear anything the next morning so I finally called at 11 to ask for an update. The tech arrived at my house around 1 where I had been waiting all morning without any communication from him or the company. When he did arrive with the part, he changed out the part but wasted even more of my time trying to sell me additional services, memberships, water heaters, etc. Very inconsiderate of my time and just an overall pain to deal with. Don’t recommend.

I was in a major pinch with a short term rental property, the HVAC on the 3rd floor in the attic of a home in Santa Rosa Beach went out on Friday of Memorial day weekend. I planned to move the guest but was told a new AC unit could be installed if I was able to quickly get approval from the homeowner. I was shocked, vendors in Florida are normally booked out, much less able to install same day. Matt was the tech on the job and he was beyond amazing! He made the magic happen, sent me a quote, and waited patiently for me to contact the owner for approval. He then did the install and the guest had air conditioning by 5pm same day! I called them on a Saturday and a tech was out within 2 hrs and repaired my AC in 30 mins. After talking with the Tech decided to replace my old AC unit and glad I chose to the old unit was pushing 18 years. The Install was quick and easy as well, techs showed up had the new system up and running in a few hrs and even reconfigured my smart thermostat to work with the new unit. They really do go above and beyond to provide excellent service!

We were referred to this company by a friend. I thought if this is any good or just another company that try to hustle and recommending you to buy a whole new system when the problem could just be something minor. My tech came out and seemed very humble. I showed him the system and he went to work. He found out two wires were in the wrong place. Sure enough A/C started working after he fixed the problem. Initially the fan motor froze up, which I took upon myself and replaced it, so I later asked how much it would cost if they were to do it; they gave me a ballpark range of around $200 parts and labor. Of course every system is different, but that was a cheap quote. I would highly recommend this company.
